?????Frequently asked questions?????
How does mobile grooming work?
Mobile grooming works just like grooming in a salon.  Except you have the
convenience of the salon coming to you and your pet is never put in a cage and is
never ignored for hours at a time.  Peninsula Paw Spaw has all of the amenities of a
stationary salon, but in the quiet calm environment of a state of the art mobile
grooming van.  Our mobile Paw Spaw is fully contained, climate controlled, and more
comfortable for your pet.
How long does grooming take?
Grooming times vary by coat type, condition of the coat, size of the pet, and the
experience of the pet.  A short coated pet usually will take about an hour, medium to
long coats take between an hour and a half and two hours.  Larger dogs take longer
and pets that are not groomed regularly can take longer as well.
What days and times are you available?
Appointments are made between 9:30 and 3:30, each customer is given a two hour
window for arrival, because every pet deserves a non-rushed grooming.
 Days of
operation are Tuesday through Friday and every other Saturday or Monday.  If it is
more convenient for you, a
fter your pets initial appointment, we can discuss ways for
your pet to be groomed regularly without you needing to be home.  It doesn't get more
convenient then Peninsula Paw Spaw!

Can I watch while my pet is being groomed?
Unfortunately, in most cases the answer is no, because many pets become distracted
when owners watch and this can be a safety concern for your pet.  Although, in some
situations an owner may be asked to assist.  But as a general rule we try to keep the
environment distraction free.  You are welcome to check out the facility before or after
your pets appointment.
What methods of payments do you accept?
We accept Visa, Master card, Cash, and local preprinted checks.
Do all pets need to be groomed?
Yes! Just like people pets feel better and maintain better health from routine
grooming. It is very important to keep your pet combed and brushed, especially if
your pet has long hair. Matted hair can easily cause skin and health problems and
unnecessary discomfort for your pet. If neglected for too long, it might eventually
necessitate a lengthy grooming session, which could be uncomfortable for your pet
and expensive for you. Regular grooming, on the other hand, improves skin and
circulation, which shows in a healthier, shinier coat.
How often should I get my pet groomed?
How often your pet gets groomed is up to you, but we recommend having your pet
groomed every 4 to 6 weeks. Having your pet groomed regularly keeps your pet
feeling and looking great and can actually save you money.  A regularly groomed pet
also spends less time being groomed!
